Voices and own voice
You choose the agent’s voice. An own voice is made only with written consent.
The agent can use a catalogue voice, adjusted for rhythm and tone, or a cloned voice from a recording of a person who has given consent. Cloning uses ElevenLabs technology and their terms of use.
Two paths
Voice from the catalogue
We choose together a voice that sounds natural in Romanian or Russian for your type of calls. It can be changed from the agent settings, without other production costs.
Cloned voice
From clean recordings of a person who has signed the agreement. Suitable for a brand that already has a known voice: a presenter, the founder, the voice in adverts.
How a cloned voice is made
The Agreement
The person whose voice is cloned signs the agreement for this use. Without it, we do not start.
Registration
Text reading, in a quiet room, in the language the agent will speak.
Cloning
The voice is created in the Kallina account and linked to your agent.
Listening
We call the agent with the new voice on the real script and adjust the pace and pronunciation.
What influences how the agent sounds
The voice matters, but it is not the only thing the caller hears.
- Written text
- In Romanian, a prompt without diacritics makes the voice pronounce incorrectly. We write the scripts with full diacritics.
- Length of lines
- Long lines are tiring and hard to interrupt. Good agents speak in short sentences.
- Names and figures
- Product names, streets and amounts are checked in test calls and written so they are pronounced correctly.
- Recording language
- A voice cloned from recordings in Romanian sounds best in Romanian. For Russian, we use recordings in Russian or a separate voice.
Frequently asked questions
Can we clone the voice of an actor or a public figure?
Only with that person's written consent for use in the agent. We do not clone voices without consent.
Who owns the cloned voice?
The voice is used only for the agents of the client who provided the consent. We write the exact conditions in the contract.
Does the cloned voice sound identical to the original?
It sounds similar, and quality depends heavily on the recording. You hear it on test calls before putting it into production.
Does the agent have to say it is not a human?
We recommend it says so, especially when the voice belongs to a real person. We do not build agents that claim to be human.
Can we change the voice later?
Yes, from the agent settings. The change applies to subsequent conversations.
